I go to school number 19. It’s a nice school with modern equipment, good teaching staff and its own traditions. The school has three floors with modern classrooms and studies where pupils learn different subjects. For example, in the English Study they have English lessons, in the Math Study they have Math lessons and in the Chemistry Study they have Chemistry lessons. Each classroom and study has up-to-date equipment such as a TV set and a CD player. There is also a computer lab with the Internet access and a gym with wonderful sports facilities. On the second floor there is a spacious Assembly Hall where pupils have meetings and parties. The teaching staff in my school is very professional and helpful. Our teachers do their best to make our lessons interesting, informative and instructive. Also I can always ask my teachers for help when I do not understand the material. There are some good traditions in my school. For example, at the end of the school year a special meeting is held where the best pupils and the School Subjects Olympiad winners get their awards. Also each month is dedicated to one of the school subjects. For instance, we have the Month of the English Language, the Month of Physics, the Month of Geography. The purpose is to get the pupils interested in learning some additional material on each subject on their own. Then they are asked to make a report or a computer presentation, to create a wall newspaper or to organize an event for junior school pupils to share their knowledge in the subject. Also, during each of these Months the pupils prepare contests and quiz games on a certain subject and then take part in them. I think that my school is a great place to go. When I graduate, I will always remember my school friends who share my school experiences and I will always be grateful to my teachers who invest so much time and effort into my education. | |
