Music plays an important role in people’s lives. Talk about the following:

• if music is important in your life;
• what kind of music you prefer;
• what your favorite singer/band is.

Music is very important for me and I can’t imagine my life without it. When I get up in the morning, I turn on quick music as it helps me to get ready for school. I listen to music on my way home as it helps me to relax after a hard school day. I do my homework to quiet music as it helps me to focus on my studies and remember things better.
For all that, I can’t say that I know much about music styles. Any kind of music is good for me if it meets my mood.

My favorite band, however, is Linkin Park. It is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. They became famous in 2001 after they had released their album Hybrid Theory. Three years ago I visited their concert in Kiev. It was fantastic! The music was wonderful and the visual effects were just stunning. Most of all I enjoyed the moment when the group’s lead singer Chester Bennington appeared on the stage and began singing his hit Roads Untraveled. We all joined in with him and danced to the music. Everybody had a great fun!

I like this group because they sing about the things that are attractive for teenagers. Their music is unique and their songs are very emotional. The lyrics of their songs make sense and Chester Bennington is an amazing singer.
All in all, music is essential for me. I don’t think that my life would be complete without it.
