An intelligent and technologically advanced race of aliens has come to Earth, and you are the first representative of mankind they meet and they want to know about your planet. What would you say about the Earth, countries, and people?

• Would you like to show them Ukraine?
• What would you like to tell them about your Motherland (geographical position, mountains, rivers, lakes, national symbols, and people)?
• Would you ask them to help your country? Why? Why not?

We live on the planet Earth. It is very beautiful. It is also unique because it is the only planet in our solar system that supports life. The Earth is full of wonders. Different animals live on the Earth and different plants grow on it. There are many large and small countries on our planet. Some countries are warm and some countries are cold. People who live in those countries speak different languages and have different cultures.

My country, Ukraine, is one of the largest in Europe. It borders on Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania. In the south, it is washed by the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. The main rivers are the Dnieper, the Dniester, the Donets, and the Bugh. There are lots of sea ports in Ukraine. They are Odessa, Kherson, Nikolayev, Ismail and Mariupol. The Carpathian Mountains are in the west but they are not very high. The highest mountain in the Carpathians is Goverla. One of the most beautiful lakes is Lake Sinevir.

The state symbols of Ukraine are the national flag and the emblem. The emblem is a trident. The flag is blue and yellow.

People of different nationalities live in Ukraine. Common people are welcoming and hospitable.

If I met some aliens, I would tell them a lot more about our planet and Ukraine. However, I wouldn’t ask them to help my country because I believe that people should learn to cope with difficulties themselves. I don’t think that the experience of the aliens, no matter how very intelligent and technologically advanced they are, could help my country much.
